“It’s Not You, It’s Me” is back again, with a real time- wasting head- scratcher. If anyone can help us understand it, we’d love to hear back. We’ve had two candidates in the last month report that they were asked to do another video as they’ve progressed through the interviewing process. Same company, same position, same team on the interviews, (and here’s the kicker) SAME QUESTIONS in the video. If a video interview is required, there should be a purpose to it, and it should be reviewed by someone (anyone!) as the candidate moves through the process. Having a candidate record themselves answering the same questions twice announces (loudly) that you don’t value their time, that your team is not communicating effectively, and that you may be using technology as a crutch rather than a tool. hashtag#interviewinghashtag#howtohashtag#wasteoftimehashtag#bprhashtag#videohashtag#processimprovement
